Look at the dunes in the bottom right corner. They are giant. Everything felt very remote out here, especially being the only triker flying, no boats out this far-- it was beautiful.- Beautiful airport we considered as an alternative to Elk River. We had it all to ourselves. Multiple touch and go 's Beautiful area for flying- Lake Chelan, Coeur d'Alene, etc
- Have to fly > 50 miles away and 3 hours with 10 landings at night. Among other things, it's hard to judge your altitude at night. Clouds are just blacker spots in the sky. Black spots on the ground are either airports, or mountains, or lakes/ocean, or rough terrain.
