The Corrosion X took a lot of this off the cables. I'm going to use it to spray into the cables themselves as it also lubricates as well as protects.
So, the AC manual says in several spots "Do Not Lubricate the Cables"-- they have Teflon in them or something like that. I haven't lubricated mine for that reason, but have considered it-- on the other hand, my cables to work smoothly.
