First run through inspection was sort of the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. I expected to find a few bugs - but woah!  A crack on the top of the gas tank!?!  Looks like I've got some creative repair to make here!

Ouch!!  There was an AD out for this-- I checked mine and fortunately it wasn't in the serial number series AND didn't have a crack.  I think they said it was a molding issue on that series, I'd heavily consider replacing the entire tank-  since you have your trike so far apart, now is the time to do it.

I'd also recommend drilling a small drain hole in the belly pan of the trike, for a couple reasons:

    1. When you wash the trike, it lets the dirty water drain out the bottom
    2. Perhaps more important, is that if there is a leak (oil, gas, coolant, etc), the belly pan will trap it and it will not be noticeable on your hangar floor.  A small drain hole in the belly pan will allow it to drip onto your hangar floor where you will notice it

Also, contact the factory regarding the pickup filter where the fuel line comes out of the bottom right of the tank--  it's a simple push in replacement.  I guess the european models came with this, but the US models may not have.  It would prevent something like a leaf in your gas tank plugging up the fuel outlet.

Make sure you have the list of all the AD's
