Hi Baydo, Yes I purchased two new aircraft with the Discovery EFIS. So what do I think? Well my Tanargs were the first ones that Air Creation had put them in. The new Discovery looks great and the features were just what I wanted. When they arrived in Australia they didn't work. The noise from the screen was so bad that even aircraft that taxied past the hangar when I had them turned on could hear the noise on their radios. So not impressed. The factory couldn't help so it was up to me to fix it. I then received an email from the factory telling me that they were sending two new EFIS's to replace the ones I had. The Australian agent for MGL then rang me and told me that he would come to my hangar and fit the two new units. This happened three weeks after the new aircraft had arrived. The new units work really well, with only a few small issues. If and when I order more Tanarg's I will get them with analog instruments. I am sick and tired of the problems with MGL and Air Creation.

YFT, Most unfortunate. I've heard of that same problem on other MGL EFIS. I doubt MGL would be so responsive in my situation. Maybe I should just stick with my anolog system too. Thanks for the heads up.

Hi Trikeflyer Baydo, If you put a thin aluminum strip around the EFIS that will get rid of a lot of the noise. If the noise is to bad you need to cover the back and the sides of the EFIS and that will get rid of more noise. However why do we have to do this... The manufacture should fix it in the first place.

    All the best

Thanks YFT for your experience. I like EFIS and I thought I could to buy used one to my trike in future. Ok, my analog instruments are the best :)
