EGO electric trike

Drooling over the EGO electric trike with ATOS VRS. This might be the ultimate soaring package based on a trike. We now have 2 in the USA. Would really be nice to get one on the East coast. Nice writeup on GliderRider.

Those look Fun!
Yes Ken, to me looks like a heck of a lot of fun. In case some folks have not seen it, here is the same trike with gas engine highlighting the newer VRS option with air brakes. Comparisons of multiple landings in clean configuration, with flaps and with the air brake. That air brake has some safety considerations when trying to drop in to a short field. One aspect of the trike I do not like is the very tiny narrow wheels/tires. Yes I am sure they reduce drag but they would not be very helpful in an unimproved grass strip. Likely only good on black top runways. The Ego trike the USA ATOS reps in Colorado recently got was ordered with the fatter tires which I think would be a wise choice. Enjoy the video! ULt
