We lost our friend Derrick last week. From what I've heard he died of natural causes while at work. Just got his new Experimental Amateur Built trike certified by the FAA, but never got to see her fly. Our condolences to his family and friends.

Awh man, that really is sad news. He did a great job building up his trike and seemed like a nice guy. Such a shame.

Thanks for posting Ken. I heard the sad news on Friday while out in Pahrump.

He was one of the last people I spent time with at the Pahrump balloon festival. He had brought his trailer with his Trike to show me what he had done to it. We spent 30 minutes talking, and I was impressed with the amount of work he had accomplished as well as his meticulous workmanship.

He was looking forward to the Santa Paula Fly in, in Sept. May  he rest in peace. My condolences to his family and friends. :(

I've been away, and have just now noticed  this post. How truly sad I am to hear this news. He hardly knew me, but treated me as an old friend when we talked twice after the repairman class. Such a nice soul. RIP
