Really nice integration work here Jared. I've been contimplating this mod done just like this for a few years now.

Wile,  I like your trike.  It would be pretty easy to add brakes to your trike.  Well the installation would certianly be easier.  The Fairing and pod add an extra level of fun and no wheel pants saves about 25% of the overall cost.  What size wing are you flying?

  • Wile E Scott

Unfortunately I'm still flying an old 19M NW. I'll be saving for a Mustang 15M for a few more years but thats where I want to end up. I like low and slow but the turbulence in a 19M is too much.

  • Jared Stevenson

I have not flown a 19m yet.  I have flown a 15m, 17m, GT4, GT5 and an Ixess 15.  I think the 15M is a good choice especially if your breaking it down.

I have another mod i did for your lovely clippers Ill share soon.  Being I have a king post I made a wing lift.  The nose on my trike wants to flip up when I try to remove the limiter tube and wing.  with the press of a key fob am able to lift the wing up and out and lower to with in about 4-6 inches of the floor.  I'll share that soon.

Jared, I noticed after all that work with the brake upgrade you posted your tike up for sale on Barnstormers. Did it not perform as expected?

(You may not remember me. I contacted you the first time you posted your tike back in April of 2014. You had told me you wanted something with big Tundra tires for outback type landings, but then decided to keep the clipper and possibly mod it)

  • Jared Stevenson

No, the mod works great. The braking is much better And the tires are bigger. I happened upon a 912 clipper I bought last year gave it the same upgrade.  except I put 6"x18" tires on it this time a little bigger than the 15's I have on my other one.  I have two clippers and a Titan.  can only fly one at a time

  • Leo

Oh thats excellent! The 912 Clipper is a really nice combo. Those larger tires should yield some pretty cool off the beaten path landings for ya.

I wish I could fit Hydraulic disc brakes to my Pegaus Quantum SuperSport 912 ul.....
