Hey Sally, thanks for the great photos, but thank you even more for inviting us to your place.  That was definitely one of the highlights of the trip.  Really looking forward to getting together with you all again at Salton and here at AT.  Get Joe, Pat, Gene, Chad & everyone on here.  I'm going to announce the California Valley fly-in soon too.

You know, you were out doing landing practice, but I wasn't happy with my landing at El Mirage at all -  it was easy conditions and I did a sharp slipping turn (to stay short of the military/drone area) and had to readjust my alignment quite a bit at the bottom of the slip- 3 ft off the ground.  I'd like to say I was tired, but I let my guard down & I had another soul onboard.  The point is we need to practice practice practice   and then practice more.  We always need to sharpen our landing skills, critically evaluate, listen to our peers, get help when we're stuck, etc.  And use the GoAround!!!

I'm very glad you are smart enough to take the time to have fun with your instructor again until you dial it in perfect!!!  Congratulations on your solos!!!

P.S.  We're not as fat as it looks---   that's 8 layers of clothing!!! ;)

I'm glad that you could stop by.   When Pat and I were ready to go, then I saw you in the air.  Pat said, who's that?  I told Pat earlier this am about you coming over.   The flying J boys were glad to meet and they are very welcoming.

I will practice more landings out on the dry lake which is perfect.   Yesterday I did spot landings 10 times in an hour.  Worth to practice.   I plan to go again this Thurs depending on the Mother Nature.
