Thanks Noel, one thing I didn't realise with the QuikR was it's wide range of flying speeds, in the circuit the other day I was flying at 60mph to keep the climb rate down to 500FPM, level flying at 60mpg was fine, yet most people tend to fly them at between 80-90mph +, I'm yet to find out what kind of climb rate this will produce.
So I think I could keep up (or down in the case) with the pterodactyl.
Couple of years ago flew from North England to Middle of France in 7 hours with a headwind. Airspeed averaged 95mph & ground speed approx. 80 mph. Some guys set their wings up to fly over 100mph on fast trim. But its lovely at around 85mph, better fuel economy at 4000 rpm.....
