Hey YFT, the runway's a fair bit to your right!!! ; ) I've only gone up to the 15Kt 90° cross placarded limit. But hey, landing is not optional (eventually)-- though take off is. So were you just getting blown temporarily off, or were you trying to land across the Rwy somewhat to lessen the cross component?
Hi XC Triker, The wind was down the runway when we departed. However a weather front developed just South of the Aerodrome and this turned the wind to the West. The photo doen't show where the machanical turbulance is coming from. We have all the hangars to the West of the RWY. The wind was rolling over them and pushing use off the RWY. You can see how far the control bar is pushed forward. The landing was no problem for me or the two other pilots. It just looks different, that's why I posted the photo. All these photos are taken off the GO-PRO 3 movie.
