Hi Wile E Scott, These photos are from a Airborne XT-912 aircraft that I made the high windscreen for. This windscreen was tested to 100kts and didn't fail. I designed it and did all the testing. I have sold many of them and we have never had one failed. However there are a number of copies and some have failed. The windscreen is made from 1.5mm Polycarbonate, it is aircraft grade and it works really well. The fitting to hold the windscreen to the fuselage are attached by the original bolts. All you do is revers them and bolt the windscreen fitting on. I use a clip around the compression strut to stop the windscreen moving, but once again I have never had a problem with this either.
YFT, Really nice kit! Thank you for the tips and pics. I'm going to use that method you have with the clip up high. Now I need to search for someone who sells polycarbonate sheets. Up sides and downsides to living in the sticks! lol
