Hey their AuQR. It looks like I will have to leave 1/2 hour earlier than you on any Nav's by the look of that slick wing on the Quick R otherwise I will be watching you disappear into the distance at a rapid rate.
It was good to meet on the weekend at Yarrawonga during our training with YFT. The meal at the pub was a pleasure as well. I am glad we didnt get into any Pong Ping games (viz a viz the Elk River Crew) otherwise the flying the following day would have been a writeoff.
Look forward to catching up in the future either at Yarrawonga or perhaps the Microlight meeting.
Yes it was good to finally catch up at YFT and have favourable flying conditions over the 2 days.
We were lucky that both Peter and Ken were able to assist in the training and give us both some quality time in the seat.
In regard to the QuikR, yes it is quick, but that's only if you want it to be, although we were flying at approx. 80 knots (4000 - 4500RPM) most of the time, with wing trim, I think it would happily go around at 65 knots without any trouble, just need to have more time in it to experiment with speed/trim settings to get the optimal performance/handling, and of course, nail the landings better than what I did yesterday.
I am going back to YFT in a fortnight, perhaps see you then.

YFT First flight in a QuikR.
Yellow Looks very nice against the dramatic gray skies.

Well done on the 2.4 hour nav to LV.
Thanks YFT, the 15 knot tail wind assisted the journey great.
