For the pilots that are not sure about Australia. Aussie quikR has just completed a navigation flight from one side of Victoria to the other. In other words from the Murray River to Base State the ocean. This is scross the Great Dividing range. The weather from one side to the other can be very different. Sometime it can be one wind on one side and fifty knots on the other. As you can see from this photo it is not as scary as it seems. Well do Aussie QuikR... Well Done.

    Good one mate!

Congratulations on a successful flight.  It looked like you picked your day perfectly.  Catch up soon.

    Thanks Noel bee52.

I had a 15-20 knot tail wind, so made pretty good time (2.4 hours in total) averaging approx. 78 knots.

When I was planning the trip, I chose a route to miss all the high mountains, however when I was up at 3500 ft, all the mountains seemed rather small, so I cut the corners and flew more of a direct line into Yarra Valley, then came out the other side near Garfield.

The roughest part of all the flight was coming to circuit height at Latrobe, I was all over the place with what appeared to be a 20 knot 45 degree cross wind.

Anyway it wasn't the prettiest of landing, but got down.

I had flown for 2.5 hours around Yarrawonga before, so the flight wasn't too bad in terms of duration.

Next time I will stop off at a couple of airports along the way to gain a greater knowledge of what I had flown over.
