I hoped I could duck down lower coming home and get out of these "helpful" winds-- but, they slowed me up a lot getting back across the channel- The wind picked up in the wrong direction, so I had to land between the trees at Mexican Mountain. This was not fun in the swirling thermally air. I stayed just above the tops of the trees until I reached the wide spot at mid-field, then plopped down.
