Comment on "Virga: What is It, and When to Avoid (Pilots Tip of the Week)"
Viagra is up going, virga is down going. ;) Don't mix them up. IMHO: Light virga and light rain are not too bad for short distances- but some wings do not perform well at all with wet leading edges-- including dew on the wing in the am.Comment on "Virga: What is It, and When to Avoid (Pilots Tip of the Week)"
Ken, I believe Vegas gets a lot of Viagra. Virga is something completely different! :)Comment on "Virga: What is It, and When to Avoid (Pilots Tip of the Week)"
Cool, we get a lot of Virga here in Vegas. Figured it would be an avoid situation.Comment on "Virga: What is It, and When to Avoid (Pilots Tip of the Week)"
Virga is dissipation from a cloud that evaporates before reaching the ground.pilot could expect mild to excessive sink, gradient, shear turbulence I have seen lots of it but never flown near it.I would think it best avoided?
