The Toucans were taught how to fly in Lightning Ridge by Chris Brandon. As the Ridge is around 700km west of the Hunter Valley, it was easier for Chris to become a temporary resident. A large bus was parked at the aerodrome and this became our flight school. We became THE RIDGE TRIKE SQUAD!- Toucans can't fly. Whilst on a cross country trip to Lightning Ridge in outback NSW, we had a forced landing. Suspected bird strike to the propellor. All went well though. No damage to trike or pilot and passenger. Yes, a video is being made. Watch this space!
