We landed at Pagosa, refueled and headed north up the Piedra Valley. We flew past Williams Reservoir and approached the 12,500 ft mountains that blocked our path to Creede. It was 11am and the clouds were just starting to build.- Weminuche Pass is so gentle that when Paul and I approached it from the Creede side last year, we flew 5 miles beyond the pass before realizing we were over the top and heading downhill.
