We crossed over to Cebolita Canyon, a long winding canyon through the pinion forests. When we dropped down low, so did the temperatures. Today was October 24, so I expected cool fall temperatures, but the temps at the bottom of canyon were down to 20F.
We flew by the Grand Falls of the Little Colorado River, which by luck had some water running after a fall rainstorm three days earlier. The lead pilot is my friend Paul Dressendorfer.
After leaving Mexican Mountain Airstrip, we headed for the Mineral Canyon Airstrip to check our our wings, then fly upstream along the Green River with the sun at our back. Here I am crossing over the edge and diving down into Mineral Canyon
There is about 20 miles of Glen Canyon downstream of the dam. I looked down at many boats going up and down the river and saw a couple large groups camping in the beaches below.
