Paul wanted to follow the Colorado all the way to Hite, so we headed down to the confluence again and headed downstream. You can see his trike in the upper part of the photo.
Waiting for the frost to melt off my wing at Buckhorn Airstrip, outside of Crested Butte, Colorado. The wings don't work if there is any frost on them.
At Hite, we let left the Colorado to follow the Dirty Devil River. I did my best to keep a landable clear patch of terrain nearby. If I ever was forced down here, it would be nearly impossible to take off again.
Working my way up the East River past Crested Butte, to 10707 ft Schoefield Pass, and on to the beautiful grass strip at Marble, Colorado. The big mountain at the center is Gothic Mountain.
