Broken Mount due to metal fatigue!!!
Found this on a post flight inspection after sending off the Trike Globetrotters. Apparently the 1/8" aluminum had enough vibration where mounted that it fatigued the metal and it cracked straight through. Always to a post flight, You never know what you might find.Tags: Racor fuel filter, Northwing Apache/Navajo
- Chose a new mounting location under the motor mount where there were pre-existing holes to take advantage of. Used steel angle iron to make the mount
