This is 5 minutes into a flight yesterday as I was turning back to the airport. Disappointing for my passenger. We're hoping for less fire and clearer skies.- My passenger took this photo on Labor Day. Directly beneath us was the scorched ground from the just put out Rocky & Jerusalem fires. We flew during the one week there wasn't a TFR in this area.
- Toucans can't fly. Whilst on a cross country trip to Lightning Ridge in outback NSW, we had a forced landing. Suspected bird strike to the propellor. All went well though. No damage to trike or pilot and passenger. Yes, a video is being made. Watch this space!
- It was kinda foggy on the coast all day today, but WARM in the air (inverted)! Very nice, great conditions. Took an excited passenger from the event up here. When we got back, the SLO tower asked for a ride ;)
