This guy was just crazy. Tried several times to hook a banner in pretty high winds. Ditn' succeed, although we saw him earlier in the day on the coast.
Had time to verify the best settings for optimum/maximum glide ratio. I flew over the beach, but high. Nice and calm and surprisingly warm. I'll share that in the AC Owners Group.
About 47.5 % support flying or even getting their own aircraft / license
About 51% don't support flying, almost 6% wish they would stop
Well, about 50:50 (slightly skewed to the negative side). they need to fly in a trike, where the bang for the buck is HIGH!!
I found “Royal Arch”, 175ft high with a span of 80 ft, ample clearance for a trike. On the other side of the ridge was a mini Monument Valley. It was too windy to explore today, but I plan to return and check it out in the future.
Children used to work much of this mine because the passageways were so small. I prefer to be high above ground ;) In fact this solidified that I don't want to be buried in the end, and get a good job, because some jobs can really really really suck
We left Gunnison and had to climb to high to cross the mountains to reach Saguache and the San Luis Valley. If was very cold, about 30F ambient temperature. Our goal was the heated pool at Hooper, Colorado. We just hoped it would be open when we landed so we could warm up.
