Far below, on the southern base of Pagosa Peak I saw two impressive waterfalls. I wish I had spiraled down to get a closer look at them, but I wanted to make my ritual pass over the summit of Pagosa Peak as I have done for many years in a row.
Apparently these photos were taken about a year ago.
No wonder production takes a little while, the AC factory is going at full tilt!!!

At the base of Little Grand Canyon is a valley filled with buttes and camping sites. We met a guy at Huntington Airport that told us the local pilots are working to put in a backcountry airstrip here.
We finally made it to Marble Canyon Airstrip, with about an extra hour of daylight remaining. This is a beautiful spot to base out of with a gas station, grocery store and in the off season, a reasonably priced motel.
