Can someone help me out here. 503 DCDI engine that is Battery Started. It is not charging the battery and it runs out in flight (especially with the lights on and a good cold start to suck the electrons out).
Here are the Voltage's I am getting when the Engine is Idling.
it probably a loose or broken wire in the charging coil rotax manual has an ohm test you can do without taking the coils out test from the black and yellow wires to ground you will have to look up the ohm resistance
those regulators fail.you shoud have ac volatge out of the charging coils of the engine around 30 volts at idle.its then regulated and recified thru the regulator to aroung 13.5v dc current to the battery.hope that helps

I had a similar proboem with a 582 once and had to buy new coils. Big bucks.
