How the heck is that mounted? I can't even see the mounting point. Great job.
Hahaha! I dunno Chris...you got that whole "Floating Cam" secrecy going on there. ><
You know, the challenge is the fact that everyone's wing keel diameter is just slightly different enough that a one size Keel plug may either present an interference fit or have slop.
I thought about trying to make a version with 2 or 3 "O-ring" groves cut into the body so it would provide more of a universal fit. If I chose higher Durometer shore hardness, it might be forgiving enough to slip in, yet firm enough not to vibrate. Nothing a little lube couldn't take care of.
This is where my engineering gets a little sexual, so I better stop there. LMAO! ><

LOL! Omg, you had to go there!! So is he using your device Leo? Is the tube fitting just outside the video frame? Now that I look at it, it might be just outside of view.
Leo how about making the part that fits in the keel out of rubber then you could machine a thread inside diameter to your camera tube then a bolt with a large flat washer through a hole in the rubber keel plug that screws into your camera tube. Then you would just have to twist the camera tube till it becomes tight.would fit different keel diameters. Kind of like a boat plug. Looks really good btw.
@ Scott. No, he's using the same concept, but different plug. Chris's Keel is a 2" ID, and it just so happens, that a piece of 2" Delrin round stock slips in perfectly with out needing to machine the outside diameter. Not the case with Henry's wing.
The only machining involved in Chris's is the slot to clear the bolts that hold the front leading edge tube pivot bracket. By the way, Brent was responsible for making Chris's.
@White Eagle. That may work, but I would be concerned with excessive movement of the selfie stick.
The Camara sticks out there quite a ways in the breeze, plus machining rubber is always a pain.
