New exhaust now works without falling off. Flew for a while over the wine orchards and made a pest of myself for the workers below. Got out to the Snake River to the south but kept finding some odd winds that day blowing horizontal to the ground only about 200 feet up. Low farm flying was pushing me around. The only thing I saw that day was some oil coming out of the gear box breather hole. I must have over filled it. The clutch on the engine works well and I am not an expert but I was seeing 6500 r's with 10 degrees pitch on my blades. It climbs pretty quick. My wing still keeps me slow. But I'm a newbie. I'm still thumbing my nose at those below.

Hi Yoshiyah. Please you never close the breather hole of your gear box. The oil smoke pressure can grove up and it can damage a gaskets there. You may put there an "oil smoke centrifuge". I have it too. By upper hole the oil smoke enter into "centrifuge", then it put on wall and as oil drain down. By the down hole and tube go back to engine oil tank.
Good idea. I will look into that.
