Approaching the airport at Big Bear.

Hi Sally, Great shots. Do you fly from this airport?
Nope, it was XC Triker and I rode with him.
Hi YFT, we flew up to Big Bear mountain from El Mirage. It's almost 7,000 feet. It was predicted to be -3°C when we got there (we left at dawn). But it was a great flight, beautiful-- I could swear I saw Ice on the lake edge as we flew in. Sally rode in my back seat and Ken & Leo went up together in Ken's trike.
From Big Bear, we dropped down an unlandable canyon into FlaBob airport for their Antique fly-in. Had to dodge some LA airspace in and out. The fly-in was great, very cool planes. We all got to go inside a DC-3 "Goony Bird" and everyone loved the trikes!!! A bit bumpy on the way out climbing up over the hang gliding peaks near Sally's house to get back to El Mirage by noon. Janet texted while I was at FlaBob to warn that Dust Devils were popping off at el Mirage. But it was all good.
