Hello All, I've been training Frank in his trike here and we noticed on a touch and go, that we got the touch, but no go. When he hits full throttle hard from idle the engine dies. Carb bowls looked good, full of fuel, only checked 1 though straight after when this happened. Engine has a Pneumatic and Electric Fuel Pump.
If anyone takes a peak and knows from experience, let us know ! Many Thanks !
Also, thanks to Ken Nussear and his family in Nevada ! On a recent trip with my daughter I got stuck up his way getting car repairs for a few days ! He helped me out big time letting us both stay with him while the car got repaired ! Many thanks Ken and Family !
Hey Damien, you are quite welcome. It was a pleasure catching up with you again! ... Have you guys checked for blockage on the main jets? Are both carb cylinders lifting (Take air cleaner off to check) ?
This problem is gone. Frank Dempsey, a DPE here at Double Eagle II, helped me take the carbs apart and clean them. We also boosted the idle to 2,000 on my 582. Problem solved.
