Henry Borger of Pacific Blue Air and I flew over Los Angeles Basin. We took off and landed Hawthorn Airport and Santa Monica Airport. We flew over Los Angeles International Airport using "Mini Route" and "LA Special Flight Rules Area". We also flew along the South Bay beaches and Palos Verdes Peninsula. Henry Borger flies around here everyday.

Totally awesome henry although i would be frightened to fly over LA. Hell id be frightened to drive through la.Arnt you afraid of drones everywhere.

This was on Friday and Satuaday. It is absolutely better than driving on weekends in LA. I was not afraid of drones but other airplanes. We saw many other traffic including sightseeing helicopters flying low altitude.

Nice video Henry. You are a brave soul...

I know, it is a different type of brave, Rick !! lol

And this is a reason when Im thinking about prefer to buy a transponder instead BRS... A lot of flying spaces are closed for me now. But LA... it have to be an "university" of flying

  • Happy Triker

Jozef, yes there are all kind and lots of traffic. air liners, GA airplanes, helicopters and drones !! Moreover, layers of controlled air space. In US, most of aircraft, flying within 30 miles radius from Class B (like Los Angeles International Airport) airspace, need transponder

Henry, in our country transponder is not needs for UL planes. "UL aerodynamic planes" usually have it, but trikes not. I dont know one trike with transponder here. It is very expensive here. More than 20 years I dreamed about balistic recovery parachut safety system... Now Im thinking: more than 20 years you (me) are flying without BRS... when you (me) needed it (and have not it) you had to controlled and flew your trike all the time. There werent any other way... You (me) dont need it! Next goal for me is to buy some used transponder and our flying sapace will be open for me. I will be able to fly to other countries around, where transponder is necessary. Or fly to an international airports here and training all: approaching, communication, landing, taxiing... i wont forget, I begged to XC Triker to made an air traffic communication instead me in Australia :) For two reasons: 1- I didnt understand them, 2- I've never flew to big airport before. Many thanks David I've had you on board there!!! Because an Australian pilots and AT controllers would still be laughing to now. You can ask to YFT or Hedgeview... :)
