How about a trike trainer on a string? This one is a wind powered trike, the string might not be included :-). Anyways, I want one too. I bet is a lot of fun and cheap to fly, as long as you don't have to pay the "string guy". Fly Safe!
That is VERY cool Aeromaniac. There's dunes nearby me as well, and dunes are just so much fun for playing, we did all kinds of stuff similar to this, just not seated.
Here is a short clip of me helping a friend learn to hang glide using the "string method" of control
Once a student has advanced a ways along the path to piloting, one way to help the student fly a little higher, a little longer, and a little free er, while still being able to help with control is to tie some small ropes to the side wire and control frame to aid the student with roll correction if needed.
Sand Dunes are always an excellent place to play !!!
I love it! Great approach to transition HGer pilot to light trike or to instruct. XC this is basically dune gooning on a light trike frame. I would love to get setup like this to have fun and give some instruction.
Hey XC, I'd love to hit some sand dunes with a HG. I used to go to a hill with my instructor and his friend, they would put their finger tips on the side cables while I was playing in the updraft, then they would let go of the cables and I just flew it down the hill. It was awesome and I miss everything about it! Here is a pic of me flying the Dream.

Thats very cool, Im surprised how little it appears to pull on the string guy.

Come on down Aeromaniac !
Hey XC,
Wish I could, but hope one day we get to have some flying fun.
How 'bout this idea for Super Cheap trike trainer (103 or 2 seat)-- no paperwork needed (my non-legal opinion).
