Top oil cooler on 912 is loose!!

Just going over a new to me trike and found this oil cooler mount to be pretty loose! Thought I would post to benefit anyone else with this type of setup.

    We have since found out that Ken's suspicion was right, there was a plastic/rubber piece that goes in that spot.

    Most Tanargs now have the oil cooler mounted below the engine but this one didn't get the recommended mod.  Ken is now planing to mount two oil coolers- one above, one blow since he lives where it is routinely 100° F.

     

    I was worried that that might leave him with too little oil pressure left for the engine when it returned, but he called a major Rotax dealer and they told him it would be fine-- just use sweep elbows instead of regular 90° elbows to ensure less pressure drop.
