    A Great Flying Weekend...

With the Chat "N" Chew out of the way, it was time to get some flying in. The storms were very interesting and they stopped us from flying for a wile. Sunday morning saw a light layer of cloud and still air. It was time to get airborne. Aussie QuikR, Ian, and CFI Peter started up and decided to fly to Corowa. It didn't take long to get into the air and off to YCOR. It was also a great opportunity to get some photos of the new QuikR's. Flying over to YCOR was great, and the three aircraft all did a touch an go to stir up the crickets. We then flew back to YFT for a BBQ lunch. Later in the day it was decided that we should all fly south to the mountains, and look for Kangaroos. another top flight. No we didn't see any Kangaroos in the hills, so we decided to fly North and see if we could see them in the flat lands. Well, yes we did see a small mob of Roos but not as many as we would normally have seen. After flying around the channels for a wile we headed back to YFT for some circuits. Yes we were now getting board and it was time to think about dinner. Pizza went down really well. Wile we were having dinner we were also thinking about tomorrows flying. The plan was to fly from YFT to Shepparton and then onto Benalla, and then back to YFT for lunch. The morning was just great and the three aircraft departed YFT and flew to Shepparton. We all did a touch and Go and then it was onto Benalla. If we thought the radio was quiet at Shepparton, we were not disappointed at Benalla. Only one glider parked on the runway and not a sound from the airwaves. We decided to over fly Benalla and head back to YFT. Yarrawonga had a few aircraft doing circuits and a few over flying, so we did know our radios were working. After landing we had a nice morning tea and a social chat. Another great weekend at YFT.
