We headed south along the edge of the Grand Canyon. We had a 25 mph headwind, which slowed our ground speed to 35 to 45 mph. We lined up on the Zuni Corridor and it took over an hour to reach the turnpoint on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. I am not complaining, the view was amazing and I had dreamed of making this flight for a long time. Paul (in the photo) and I flew close to each other the entire way south to increase our visibility to other aircraft. As it was, we never saw anyone else. We were flying early in the morning, off season.
