Whats really interesting about this shot is the change in colour balance, it seems much more yellow than in any of the other shots

It's a beautiful butterfly just out of it's cocoon..! Great colour choices Peter!

Very easy to see!  good choice.  Never really seen my trike from this angle.  Looks like yours is the ES?  If so, is the ES required in Oz for noise reduction?

  • wefly

Not the 'es' model, its the 912s. We can have either 's or es' models, the noise levels are OK on the 's'.

  • XC Triker

Personally, I prefer the S model as there is a little more luggage room, the oil cooler scoop is not under the trike, and the prop is a little more efficient (though noisier).  Others like the ES ("Extra Silent"?) though.  I'm glad we have a choice in the US also.

BTW how much noise does the ES and S make, and what are the sound level requirements in Oz (or Europe for that matter, where the ES is required in some countries).  Seems to me like all trikes are quieter than the typical Cessna.

Most people in our local area comment that they knew we were coming with the 80 HP and that they could come out and see us, but now, with our new 100HP it is much quieter, and they don't get out to see us as much. Don't know the actual levels, but we get a lot of positive comments about the new Tanarg.

Microlight standard noise test requirements are similar across the globe, exception to Germany.

In a nutshell: Certification Noise Tests requirements:- aircraft to be flown at 500 feet above ground in level flight at MTOW.

The spec data reports by Air Creation with BioniX wing are:

    Tanarg 912s (80 & 100hp) - 65" Arplast = 72 dB

    Tanarg 912es (80 & 100hp) - 62" Arplast = 69 dB

No Henry..looks good though, just an illusion of photography flying overhead on a slight bank!

  • YFT

Hey Henry, I was flying the Tanarg in that shot and no it was only a small bank, but I did a 65 degree bank today. It felt so smooth in the rough air. Go on Henry put your order in for a new Tanarg with the Bionix 13, you know you want to...

Yeh go on H... I'd be interested to see another creation.... would it be yellow I wonder??

  • XC Triker

The cool thing about yellow is that since it's just a little bit slower it gives you more time to react when you're flying ; )
