Is the body carbon fiber? Or is there a support beneath ?

  • Buggyman

I don't know why you put it as either / or question but it is mostly carbon fiber and there is no metal frame in it

So how is the mast and limiter tube attached? Or is the design reinforced enough to not require a limiter tube (front compression strut)? It appears that the silent blocks for engine are attached directly to rear face. Do bolts go through to a portion of the shell that is heavily reinforced (extra thickness of CF and resin)? Also how is the front fork attached? Front fork appears to be very light duty to me. I do like the aerodynamic design of the entire buggy.

The mast is attached to the seat back which is the main structural component of the design, it has the front strut as most any trikes.
The engine mounting area is reinforced with extra carbon but a lot of strength comes also from the shape of "corners" right next to mounts as it turns into three different angles.
I don't have The fork attachment detail pix but good observation on your part, It is in fact too light and the wheel is smaller, It is at this point just a carry over from the prove of concept prototype I built first, and it would be used on a non powered pure glider version. I was good enough to use for the picture.
The normal powered version will have the same size front as the main wheels and the fork is the integrated part of of the wheel pant, I'm working on that part right now.

Looks like a design with a lot of promise George! Hope to see more as you develop it :)
