Yes, I have Garmin GTX-327 with mode C, Hawk is registered as aircraft and I can fly anywhere that GA aircraft flies,
Keep you aware how steep are your turns, Critical on slow air speeds, if that make sense.
Also FAA requirement for aircrafts, Hawk is register as an aircraft.
