The Colorado River winds through a huge mud deposit, left behind as the waters of Lake Powell receded. We flew past the concrete boat ramp of the Hite Marina, which was a mile from the river. The ramp looked like a perfect landing spot.
This is a bay, nearly cut off from the Colorado River.

Yea @XCTriker that looks like a great spot for sure!
I think it is a muddy quagmire there. There are better spots to camp next to a river (Dirty Devil being best) throughout Southern Utah.
