Fuel stop at Shoshone

Log:  Yesteday.  George, Tom & I took off intending for Elk River.  On the way, Tom's trike was flying fine, but fuel pressure was reading negative-  we felt this was proof that the sender/gauge was broken.  Did t/g at Hotsprings (S09), but Tom lost power and returned.  So George & I returned also for FS.  Used overhead break as entries.  Landed beyond my intended point on first one (VG left on, high DA).  Met Mark the airport Mgr who had an old Tierra? 582 crop duster in his hangar.  Tom changed worked on his fuel system to pickup and tested it. (@Knussear later suggested to try:  Hang a towel out the fill hole and shoot Roman candles while singing god bless America).  Took off again now at 11am.  Tom's trike ran fine on the way home through mountainous terrain.  Geo & I did t/g at Plains (S34) then had traffic behind us up the valley.  Dove down from pass to catch up and do FS at Shoshone (S83), and added some fuel (me from fuel bladder (see fuel bladder comparison- coming soon), no lead).  We all worked on our trikes in Tom & Georges Hangar.  I switched shoulder seatbelt retractors between passenger and pilot-  was too sensitive on lock.  Covered velcro on my Fladen flight suit near neck closure to prevent chaffing seat belt.  Saw some cool plane projects in a nearby hangar (Luving's Luv?).  Tom changed all fuel tubing, etc.  George installed a rock net.  Got home after 10:30pm, Tom wants to go at 6am to ER?  Tired.
