Hi Christopher, the engine in the Minimax was from a Trike so that white thing you can see at the back of the engine is a large poly pipe to get the air into the fan on the Rotax 503.
I loved flying my Z-Max Mini-Max (Zenoah) . But…I just never was fully comfortable with the thing being built out of glued together tiny sticks of wood for the wings. Then after I had the control stick break off in flight, I figured it was time for a new airplane. Not too much fun having only a rudder and the throttle to come home and land.

And noisy...man the wind buffeting was louder than ANYTHING I've ever flown...pushers and tractors.
