Long Beach Airport Festival

We flew our trikes over to LGB for the annual Festival of Flight show. Over Forty planes on staic display with a bunch of food trucks and a stage for bands. It's put on by the Airport and is more for the Long Beach community than Pilots. I attended a few times before as guest but this was the first time as a participant. I badgered the organizers from moment they announced the date for a spot. It's a busy airport with a few JetBlue and Southwest flights daily. We fly the Trikes in there often, but still the guy organizing it had never seen a Trike. He asked us to send our Opperating Limits sent to the FSDO (which is located there) for approval to attend. This was the exact reason I wanted us there. All to show our kind of flying to a larger audiance. (and those snooty Fix-wingers as well) The day was a great success with attendance in the thousands and we were right up front at the entrance. We spent the day letting hundreds of kids and quite a few adults sit in the Trikes. We weren't prepared for a line of 10 or more for each Trike...All day!  Way more effort than we planned on but well worth it. The event had to be a boon for our business and if I say so Trikes in general (patting myself on the back).  The only draw back was that I worked all day and didn't get to stroll around for even a moment. At 5 we pushed out the grounds and flew home to HHR. Grest day for us city boys!

Judging by the size of the other aircraft there I would say that it was a pretty big event Doug.

Way to represent Brother. Nice pics by the way.
