Getting here. Now figuring how to do 2 more throttles on carburetors. Next would be sanding/priming/painting. I will do the bottom of the fuel tank and experiement with paint sprayer.
I started working on my trike engine during earlier year 2014. November 2014 thru January 2015, I started painting the trike body. I used black primer. The color is black metal flakes with holographic, then topped with 2 coats of clear paint. I spent time between my trike working and caring for my mom. Also in year 2014, from April to present, I had endured so much pain in my pelvic/hip area.
January 2015, my mom passed away.
Febuary 2015, I was diagnosed with breast cancer metastize to the pelvic/hip/ushium bone area. Last July I was a 10 years survivor. I was in a wheelchair for 4 months due to fracture ushium bone. Cancer ate up the bone. I went through several radiations, treatments, many doctor visits, etc..... I'm having chemo treatments since March and will continue that life-time. Now I'm into 11th year survivor and hope to continue surviving.
So in April, I was able to walk again, without wheelchair, walker, and cane. I got back to remodeling my mom's home. It's completed last week and was put up for sale. Now it's being in escrow which is good news for me.
Lately about 2 weeks, I've been finishing up my trike. Almost completed. I would say about 2 percent left to be done.
Enjoy the pictures.
The decal of breast cancer angel is underside the trike. "Born to Fly" is on the front.
Sally you have never ceased to amaze me. Sucess is not measured by our titles and pocket books. Sucess is measured by the obsticles we overcome. You clearly emit that stronger light within. Which is manifested in our dream of flight. Cant wait to fly with you someday.
Its awesome how is your way to your dream Sally. Last and present year wasnt nice to you. You are overcome a lot of pain. I have crosed fingers to you and I wish you All the best! (sorry YFT :)) )
Debbie and I are looking forward to meeting you at Santa Paula. Wish you were bringing your trike but completely understand. Debbie will make the back seat available so you can get back in the air at least. :)
white eagle, I'll bet that northwest states are the beautiful. I hope to go up next summer when it gets too hot down here.
My trike didn't run at all 3 days ago. I had been trying to find out. Fuel in bowls are measured good, but spark plugs didn't show any sparks at all. I tracked down to the Ducati where I replaced the wires, protection caps, and plug caps. I found one of the wire wasn't installed in Ducati properly. Today it ran for few minutes, didn't want to run it too long since there are no propellers on yet. I will have propellers installed after Labor weekend by my friend. After that I'll focus on tuning.
I will arrange with Leo for a lesson with my new wing, 15m NW.
Glad you found the problem. I had a mag go bad on one side of the Ducati on my 582... lots of diagnosis and it cam down to a fault in one of the coils. Man that was a very expensive part to replace > $700
One of the pilot landed on the beach when engine went out. His trike has fat tires which made the landing on beach safer. Mine are "wheelbarrow" tires, it will definitely flip over on the soft sand beach. So the tires do make difference on the sandy beach.

Sally good luck with leo. Hes an awesome guy. We really enjoyed having him at bonner. Usually when i cant get my trikes to start i try
Screaming at the top of my lungs
Throwing something
Kicking my trike
Going in the house and sulking
Then i remember to turn on the mags?
That's funny, w eagle !!

Antares are one of the few trikes from major manufacture that can consistently handle gravel bar landings without gradually self destructing.
Yes Garrett, I had the Antares trike before and I like to land anywhere with it. Its in flying heaven since 2005, but still I love it.
