About a month ago Noël and myself flew to Barrydale for a food and Blues Festival at Joubert-Tradauw wine cellar. A 250 km trip in one direction - against a 45 kph headwind -this took us 4 hrs of flying time. We had to land on route for me to refuel my Clipper - what better place to put down than on Route 62 National road at Ronnie's Sex Shop. Her we were met by my wife , we had a quick burger and a refreshment, refuelled and left for our destination 35 km further west. We had help from the local shop owner Ronnie and personnel to regulate the road-traffic while we took off.

We landed at our destination on a very old and out of use runway where we parked our trikes for the night, while we attended the food and blues festival on the neighbouring wine farm only 1 km away. 

We left for home the next morning and flew back in exactly 2 hrs - what a great journey with my best friend. 

Thanks to my wife that did the trip by car to join in our fun!
