Differences in Placarded Speeds / Stats between iXess 15M and Bionix 15M (almost all numbers reflect significant improvements)
I always make a dash Placard for cardinal speeds and capacities for my trikes. Recently I changed wings on my Tanarg 80 HP 912 from an iXess 15M to a BioniX 15M. I made new dash placards and am trying to memorize the new numbers. Almost all are improvements.
I made this digram to show the differences between the wings (not all the data was available for both wings-- Thank you Henry for helping me find most of it). The green arrows represent improvements between the iXess and Bionix. The numbers for best L/D speed are not the same between the wings, but I did not see a faster best L/D speed for the Bionix as necessarily and improvement or not-- just noted a difference.
Again, these only apply to these wings with the Tanarg 80HP, there is a list of data for other AC trikes with other AC engine combinations (for the most part the data is similar though not exact, also, standard warning that I may have entered some data in error- use your own judgement):
That being said, I'm really happy with the switch to BioniX 15M. I feel the size is probably the best all around XC wing also-- my opinion.
