Gascolator-- verify yours is Ethanol safe. Reports of Ethanol induced damage to Gascolator plugging fuel system heard.
Nothing is infallible. Question everything. Check everything. Fly with a backup plan (plans B, .... C, D, etc), sufficient altitude.
In most systems there will always be a single point failure spot--- even if equipped with a backup fuel pump.
