I was just talking with xc about same subject like if i changed out my 503 for say a verner or hks 4 stroke on my redback could i use a bionx wing anyone have knowlege?
Well I suppose it is compatible Riz. The AC connection is on the wing and the NW connection is on the mast right? So you will need to bush the mast to make it the same size as the AC mast but that would be easy. AC uses a cam-bolt like you see on a bicycle axle to tighten up the hang bolt so make sure you get one of those with the wing.
I do the same thing in reverse to get my Northwing on my AC mast. Just smaller nylon bushings. So on the northwing there are already 2 (or more depending on which hang block you have) 1/8 inch thick bushings used. Just need some fatties! Let us know if you get serious we can make some measurements.
So it is poss to put a bionx wing on my redbsack along with say a higher hp 4 sttoke instead of my 503 . Just want to know if i can make my redback a More xc worthy machine. Dont know sguat about engine rnd. Any help ole?
I put a Nuvix15 on my Aerotrike, and my flying buddy Paul put a Nuvix15 on his Aeros2 trike.
We both have 80hp 912's.
The BioniX is designed to fly faster, but my Aerotrike chassis didn't have enough yaw stability to cruise around at 90mph airspeed, so I went with the NuviX. The NuviX is little lighter (8 lb).
Yesterday,I called Neil of Air Creation USA. They called back today and said they were going to contact Air Creation in France and let me know. About Bionix15 wing they said it is more suitable with a 912 and for HKS they will find out. When I get a response I will make sure to post it here. They did say that more than likely NuviX would be a more suitable wing for my trike.
That's great to know about the NuviX @Jeff_Trike. Just guessing by size / speed range of the trike- I bet you'r trike is more similar to the Skypper Rizzy, thus the NuviX might be the better fit.
Doesn't hurt to look and investigate all kinds of different equipment Riz. ;) I learn a lot by listening to the discussion of others on all types of wings and what they do well or not and why. Thanks for posting.

How do you like the handling on the Nuvix @jeff_trike ?

In all honesty, I don't even know if I need another wing. I think I am suffering from finding that perfect wing (that doesn't exist..LOL).
