I talked to the Airshow Manager and he was pleased to have a gyro fly along with all the real airshow pros. He let me fly first and park my gyro right in front of the crowd when I landed (the only aircraft in the show allowed to do that).
What a treat. Like I’ve reported last season I’ve been welcomed with open arms when I show up with my gyro or trike in tow. It’s a shame how few gyro and trike guys ever participate. You are really missing out on some fun.
Every Friday I post (on many flying forums) a nationwide list of fly-ins. I hope you guys avail yourself of the opportunity to participate. It’s great fun.
A week ago I traveled to Luling, Texas for a gyro gathering and had some world famous City Market barbeque. The next day was the local ultralight clubs campout/fly-in. So far it’s been a great season.
