Alltrikes

last weekend I was at the Dubova airport at th Air show. Big nice advent. A lot of planes, ultralight planes, helicopters, historic planes,  6 trikes, 4 PPGs and RC models showed there. A short video from my friend, you can to see here: 

My friend, trike instructor, flew with his student (or student flew with his instructor) from Nitra airport here to Dubova. We decided before, I will to do theoretical and practical final exam for his pilot licence. There werent quite easy weather - thermal and gusty crosswind. He did navigation flight, he waited at waiting point, because there were a queue of planes for landing, he did nice radio comunication, he enter into circuit and nice he landed. It was good. Then we began the exam. Theoretical was quite perfect - 97% A small mistakes we explained and he understood them. But he fail a practical exam. 1st he didnt the pre-flight check, 2nd he made two the same mistakes to landing procedures in two flights. It werent nice, good and safe landings. I explained him what mistakes he did and what i will expect in next time.

Evening we were in hangar, because outside began raining. A phone started ringing. Unknown number for me. I accepted the call.... it was the students wife... She was angry and she scolded me, that her husban did all the pilot training and how I dared failed him from the exam??!!?? Why he had to flew to big airport (grass 635x30m RWY), why I fired him, when he study a lot, he trained a lot...etc etc. She wont to pay next training for her husband!!! At first I wanted start laughed...but it werent a joke! She was angry, she shouted to me but she didnt want to listen what I wanted to tell her. I swithed on a speaker on my mobile phone to listen all pilots around. They were scared... What she wants? Does she know the risk, if I would to give him a licence and he cant to control his flight for sure? I ended the call and I called to instructor and told him that students wife scolded me. He told me, she scolded him 10min ago :))
