Hi Riz, Congratulations!!! We want to hear the test flight on your Gibbo wing! The manufacturer will give you the specific way to short pack your wing. Cheers Mate!
Hi everyone,
I bought a new wing and my 19 meter strut wing has to go. I wanted to know how do you short pack a wing.
Has anyone short packed a 19 meter wing, how long of a crate do you need for that. The wing crate I have is about 18 feet by...

I have never used a balance master but I have heard first hand reports from a few UL pilots. Some claimed it helped a lot and some said the smoothing effect was most noticeable at certain rpms usually mid range to higher rpms. This kind of... view reply
Thanks XC. I get it now. I wish I could find the opportunity to balance as you described. I did at end of last season have an odd thing occur. I heard a click while flying. I keep wondering if someone shot at me from the ground. I knew I should have... view reply
Yoshiyah-- I have NOT used the Balance Master (mercury thing) product. We (Ken, I and others) DID have a guy come to a fly-in and do dynamic balancing on our props using a computer and etc while our engine was spinning-- he then calculated the... view reply
I am the reader of this post and I must say I am totally confused. Is this devise getting good reviews or not. It did balance it didn't balance. What engine are we talking about? Does it make a difference? I still dont know what is going on. I... view reply

I was one of the skeptics, and I WAS using the dynamic balancer prior to and after I had the man with the machine balance it proper. If the balance masters product was working I shouldn't have noticed the HUGE improvement I got from the dynamic... view reply
I wish they'd take this Facebook Twitter crap off the pages. It covers what I am trying to read. As to your balancer, do you think I could add it to my BMW? I cant imagine why not. As you speak of balance, it makes me want to tear my whole... view reply
THIS Balance Masters product line has been around for a while, but I didn't know there was a Rotax 912 specific model now. What do you guys think?
I had my trike dynamically balanced a couple years ago and it was very much worth it-- I...
Thanks ULtrikepilot,
This really helps. I called Greenskyadventures today. They are the HKS dealers for the USA market. He said pretty much the same things you said and he said this was so new and there are so many HKS engines that they would... view reply
Rizzy, I am in a similar boat as you since I own a foreign 4-stroke. First, let me say that I know nothing about the HKS engines. If you do not have an engine manual you will want to get one. There may be a separate owners manual... view reply
This is a good question Rizzy, and one that might be applicable to: "If I was going on a LONG XC trip, what spare engine parts should I stock up on, if any?" view reply
Hi all,
I got a question for all of you. As ULtrikepilot mentioned about the HKS engines being discontinued. I am thinking that I should stock up on spare parts that I might need down the road. With that in mind. I have few questions. In an...
This sucks. We need HKS and more engine companies. (BTW: Wait till you see the wild BMW powered amphib trike we saw out at Slab City-- Wow, Mad Max lives !!!)
My engine at the moment is just 80 hours or so, I suspect it will be some time before I might need the parts. I was thinking after reaching the TBO to convert the engine to an HKS 700t. I guess there will be many other options at that time...I guess...
