Throttle return spring upper side closeup

The upper side of the spring does not rest on a nylon sleeve but directly on the carb cable support member and this also showed significant wear. This is really not visible without removing the spring for inspection.Throttle return spring closeup

The nylon flange was worn through allowing metal to metal contact between the spring and the bracket.
