Washington (CNN)U.S. Capitol Police converged Wednesday on a small manned aircraft that has landed on the west front of the Capitol building in Washington, D.C. Police have taken the pilot into custody.
"The U.S. Capitol Police is investigating a gyro copter with a single occupant that has landed on the grassy area of the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol. The U.S. Capitol Police continues to investigate with one person detained and temporary street closures in the immediate area," said Capitol Police Lt. Kimberly Schneider in a statement to CNN.

Here's some fun news. Not a trike, but a Gyro just busted the Washington DC TFR on a mission to reform campaign finance. Guessing its not going well for him....I bet they are touchy about landing on the Capital lawn.
wow the guys got some big nueeechis certainly believe in reform actually it would be better if he dropped in by a parchute with a bath tub and a bunch of lye soap. i think they all need to take a dip.
Doubt that he caused any campaign finance reform but probably added some finances to the campaign after they sell his confiscated aircraft. :)

Title I would have used for this bookmark is "Message delivered to Congress by Gyro mail". Pretty amazing to penetrate that airspace undetected. If you have not yet seen his letter, it is definitely worth reading. (see http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-04-15/capitol-locked-down-after-mailman-lands-gyrcopter-lawn ). I happen to agree with almost every thing in the message. Maybe it will help to draw more attention to the corruption in our political system. BTW, I do not see this as partisan as this sort of corruption applies to both Rs and Ds.
